Broccoli and tofu with a mouth-tingling, hot, sour and sweet taste.

  • Broccoli- 1 medium separated into small florets
  • Tofu- 1 pack cut into cubes
  • Green peppers- cut into cubes
  • Onion- 1 large cut into cubes
  • Ginger- garlic paste- 1 tsp
  • Green chilly paste- 1 tsp or as per taste
  • Tomato ketchup- 2 tbs
  • Soy sauce- 1 tbs
  • Apple cidar vinegar- 1 tbs
  • Corn flour- 1 tsp
  • Honey- 1 tbs
  • Salt- to taste
  • Black pepper- ½ tsp
  • Sesame oil- 1 tsp
  • Sesame seeds- 1tsp toasted


  1. Blanch the broccoli florets and set aside.
  2. In a pan, heat the sesame oil and add ginger garlic paste to it.
  3. When the raw smell goes away, add onions shortly followed by green peppers and green chilly paste.
  4. Cover with a lid and cook for a minute.
  5. Put in the blanched broccoli and tofu cubes, and sauté for another minute.
  6. In a small bowl, mix tomato sauce, soy sauce, vinegar, honey, and add to the pan.
  7. Now add salt and pepper and mix well.
  8. If you would like a little gravy, prepare a thin slurry of corn flour with ½ a cup of water, add to the pan, bring it to boil and mix everything well. For a dry dish, you can skip this step.
  9. Finally, garnish with toasted sesame seeds and spring onion.
  10. 10. Serve hot with fried rice, roti or naan. Enjoy!
